seminary, my love

The Book of Mormon map that we created as a class.
The dude with the glasses is Gideon, and King Noah is burning in the green circle.

My first week of teaching seminary (daily, early-morning religion class for Mormon high school students) felt a lot like the first week of having a new boyfriend.
I felt hopeful, excited and giddy -- with some nerves -- all week.
I had a hard time focusing on anything else and spent a lot of time daydreaming -- about the next day's lesson.
Like a new love interest, seminary is the last thing I think about before I go to sleep, and the first thing I think about when I wake up.
I have already started ignoring friends and family. (Sorry I missed your birthday, Grampe!)
And I am completely exhausted: both boyfriends and getting up at 5:00 a.m. every day will have that effect.
